Norwich Public Utilities (NPU) has partnered with CorePlus Credit Union to bring a new ATM to the Customer Service Center at 173 North Main Street, Norwich, CT. The ATM was installed in December 2018 and is now open for use, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
“Having an ATM available at our Customer Service Center will provide our customers with additional convenience when they are interacting with NPU,” said Chris LaRose, Acting General Manager of NPU. “When the CorePlus Credit Union Taftville branch closed, it became apparent that having an ATM at our facility would meet a need in this part of Norwich.”
NPU worked with CorePlus to determine the best location for the ATM, inside the vestibule of the Customer Service Center. This spot is monitored by security cameras and will not interfere with customers conducting business with NPU.
The CorePlus ATM supports cards from other financial institutions affiliated with a number of networks including CO-OP, SUM, VISA, MasterCard, PLUS, and NYCE. CorePlus will charge a small fee for out-of-network users of the ATM.
The new ATM is the latest collaboration between NPU and CorePlus. The two organizations have partnered for several years on NPU’s commercial Efficiency Loan Program and the successful Energize Norwich loan program for residential customers.
